When the key is in the ignition and in the on position and when all doors are shut they will automatically lock when you move the shift lever out of park.
Shifting does not lock doors.
Squeeze the tube to inject a few puffs of graphite into the hole.

How to fix a door that will not lock things you will need.
Some factory and aftermarket alarms lock the doors as you shift out of park or the car goes faster than 7 10 mph and unlock when shift to park or turn off ignition.
Mode 1 this mode connects the shift position with automatic door locking but notably not unlocking.
Step 2 mode 2 cancels the automatic locking and unlocking function so that they do not operate at any time.
Looking through the manual it s not really clear by the wording if they should or shouldn t.
Again if one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be with the door lock solenoid.
Press the power door unlock control three times.
Press the power door unlock control on the door panel three times.
The door locks will lock unlock to confirm programming mode is entered active.
