I decided to get it re felted and chose a heavy grade that would see me out. To avoid seepage around the bottom of the shed apply silicone to the outside or inside of the u channel that runs along the bottom of the shed. To check for leaks you ll need to look out for discoloration on the inside roof and walls of the shed.
